What You Can Expect
Our sampling method and how we report the results will depend on the type of sample (i.e. area, personal, activity, or clearance) and the contaminant being sampled. Sampling methods and subsequent analytical techniques are carried out in line with NIOSH procedures and we strictly adhere to recommended sample times, flow rates and the methods of calibration. In addition, employee name, date, time, location of sample and a basic description of work task or unit conditions are recorded in off-set printed hygiene notebooks so that a copy can be provided to the customer soon after monitoring has been completed and the original remains in the possession of the technician so as to satisfy the due diligence legislative requirements related to independent recording in relation to hazardous substances.
The original copy (hygiene notebooks) featured below remains in secure storage for 40 years and electronic copies are hosted at www.hazchem.com.au and can be retrieved through a username and password that is provided to each of our clients.
As monitoring technicians our focus is to gather data and present the information in plain language along with references to relevant information including appropriate standards, guidelines, and legislation. If a ‘clearance certificate’ is required than the sampling results in our reports (as opposed to direct read recording) will be accompanied by a laboratory analysis certificate form a NATA approved laboratory.
